Beats on Bates, presented by the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo, returns downtown in Summer 2022 with 14 weeks of live music. Every Wednesday night, June through August take the opportunity to indulge in a meal, enjoy walking cocktails in the Central Commons Refreshment Area, and listen to the musical stylings of local performers.

With more than 400 free 90-minute on-street parking spaces, paid parking garages and lots, Downtown Kalamazoo has a space for you. Returning this year, enjoy FREE Parking Thursdays in December in the Epic Parking ramp, located on South and Lovell Streets, FREE 90-minute on-street parking throughout downtown, and FREE parking all day Sundays. You’ll also find on-street metered spots throughout the downtown, which range from $1.75/hour to $3/day, and are free after 5 p.m. on weekdays and all day Saturday, Sunday, and holidays.
