June 11th is National Rosé Day! To celebrate, Tempo Vino Winery is releasing our special line of seasonal rosé wines! Sample each of our three rosés each expertly paired with an artisan cheese from The Cheese Lady of Kalamazoo. Enjoy the sampling and learn more about the refreshing world of rosé wine! Pairing:

Summer Rose, dry rosé of Sangiovese- A traditional dry rosé, light, crisp, and very refreshing. This wine featured delicious notes of ripe strawberry and cherry. Cheese Pairing: Bella Vitano Gold. A cow’s milk cheese is made by the Sartori family in Wisconsin in the Italian tradition. Light, creamy, and nutty, it’s a great complement to a fruity summer wine.

Dry Rosé Cider- A hard cider made locally grown apples from Kalamazoo’s own Husted Farms. This cider is produced using a small percentage of Grenache grapes to add color and complexity. This cider is off-dry with a slight apple sweetness and a snappy tart finish. Cheese Pairing: Prairie Breeze Domestic Cheddar: Apples and cheddar cheese are a classic pairing. We’ve taking this approach, but instead of whole apples, we’re doing hard cider! Prairie Breeze is a well aged white cheddar style cheese from the Milton Creamery in Iowa, and is aged for at least 9 month. This cow’s milk cheese has a smooth creaminess, salty crunch, and a touch of caramel-like sweetness on the finish.

Grapefruit-Passion Rosé- A sweet rosé wine flavored with juicy notes of grapefruit and passion-fruit. Cheese Pairing: Mango Ginger Stilton. This sweet and creamy cheese is made with real chunks of mango and spiced with a mild hint of ginger. It’s the perfect dessert cheese!
