3rd Annual RYDDE Showcase and Fundraiser

Saturday, December 16 at 1:00PM, come support RYDDE (Rootead Youth Drum & Dance Ensemble) at this year’s showcase & fundraiser! This year, the event will be at Comstock Community Auditorium.
1:00PM – 2:00PM, the youth will perform rhythms and movements from the African disapora.
2:00PM – 4:00PM, there will be music, dancing, and a silent auction.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to send RYDDE members to the Ayodele drum and dance conference in Chicago next spring.
Ayodele’s conference is an opportunity for RYDDE members to learn from master drummers and dancers from West Africa. In 2023, we were able to take 20 youth from RYDDE Season 5 to the Ayodele conference for two days, and our budget (including transportation and lodging) was $15,000.
We hope that you’ll support us in helping RYDDE Season 6 members get to Chicago in May, 2024!
