The Kalamazoo City Commission approved a temporary emergency ordinance that allows businesses to use off-street parking spaces to do business.

The Kalamazoo City Commission held a public hearing July 6, 2020, about the temporary emergency ordinance. The ordinance removed the required minimum off-street parking requirements for parking spaces until 3 a.m. Nov. 1, 2020.

The spaces will be able to be used for outdoor sales, dining and gatherings without facing zoning violations.
