What We’re Up To
Kalamazoo Downtown Partnership is gearing up for a busy event season and is excited to share the 2019 Downtown Summer Event Series, coordinated by the organization, along with the  Arcadia Creek Festival Place event schedule.

Thanks to all of our new Citizen Coalition members!

In the month of February, we convened the inaugural meetings of our four new Citizen Coalitions. All Coalition members heard an introduction to the organization, discussed broad goals for the group, started to discuss plans and initiatives for 2019, including the creation of working groups to do a deeper dive on key initiatives and events.

Coalition for People discussed the year ahead, including conversations about inclusivity, community engagement key people-related initiatives.
Coalition for Place discussed potential locations for public restrooms Downtown, and established working groups to activate public spaces downtown and discuss streetscape design.
Coalition for Experience has a robust events schedule in the works for 2019, including some great new summer event series. Details to come!
Coalition for Growth is working on initiatives to support businesses and develop real estate and market data for Downtown.

Stay tuned for updates! Coalitions meet next in the month of April.
