Rhapsody in Blue | Kalamazoo Symphony
April 5, 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
For over 100 years, George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue has epitomized the fusion of classical and jazz on the orchestral stage.
The Symphony performs the original 1924 jazz band scoring that first brought audiences to their feet over a century ago!
But the night doesn’t end there! Paired with the incredible vocals found in Gershwin songs, the concert hall transforms into 1920s New York from beginning to end.
Cosette Justo Valdés, Conductor
Aldo López-Gavilán, Piano
