Tuesdays On The Road
- This event has passed.
Tuesdays on the Road is a program that is supported through our Kalamazoo Food Truck
Rallies initiative. KELC Events is the organization that hosts the rally events as a way to
support the food truck industry and a concept called Placemaking.
The Tuesdays on the Road event series is hosted June, July and August, and every Tuesday the event is hosted at one of
four locations. The locations are assigned a first, second, third, or fourth Tuesday and it is repeated for a total of 3
Tuesdays in the summer.
The event features three food trucks, entertainment, yard games, and tables for eating. It is a popup picnic type event.
The host locations are promoted as a sponsor of the event in exchange for the ability to be at their location free of
charge. City permits, certificates of insurance, and emergency plans are all outlined as part of the event day
management.
These events support food entrepreneurs. Our event team works to provide an array of services targeted to community
individuals who want to be part of an evolving trend of micro-event evening outdoor street food dining. Whether it is
operating a truck, being a musician, or just wanting good food, these small popup events are designed to be quaint,
supportive, and engaging.
