Walking Scavenger Hunt

Explore downtown Kalamazoo in a fun, interactive way. This walking audit takes the form of a scavenger hunt, inviting you to navigate downtown, find key destinations, and document your experience along the way.
It’s not required, but please RSVP to help us plan.
What You’ll Do
Start at Rose St and Michigan Ave (near the old County Courthouse) and end at Spirit of Kalamazoo.
Participants will receive a map and a list of destinations to find, choosing their own route as they go. The activity takes approximately 20–40 minutes (plan for up to an hour if you explore along the way).
You’ll:
- Navigate to a series of downtown locations
- Answer questions about your experience
- Take photos of what works, and what could be improved
- Record your observations using a simple form
- You may use your phone to plan your route, but are encouraged to navigate without it once you begin.
Finish with Ice Cream
The scavenger hunt wraps up at Spirit of Kalamazoo, where participants can gather, share feedback, and enjoy ice cream on us.
