Supporting local just got even easier (and rewarding) with the Kalamazoo Downtown Partnership’s Downtown Dollars BOGO deal launching Friday, November 5.
Between November 5 – November 19, when you purchase $20 in Downtown Dollars, you get an added $10 free. This deal is limited to $100 per person until funds run out.
“Even as the state has moved beyond shutdowns, businesses continue to need support,” Kalamazoo Downtown Partnership President Andrew Haan said. “Shopping early brings much-needed dollars into local establishments and ensures you get the perfect gifts for the holidays. We’re counting on the community to shop local and shop early in downtown.”
Downtown Dollars work like a gift card at 50+ participating downtown restaurants, shops, and businesses. They can be used right on your phone or printed off for a simple shopping experience. Available for purchase at https://bit.ly/3CXh9S4
In addition to the Downtown Dollars BOGO deal, the Kalamazoo Downtown Partnership is bringing back its Small Business Saturday(s) promotion, hoping to bring cheer to the community and dollars to downtown businesses.
Small Business Saturday(s)
Join the nationwide movement to shop local on Small Business Saturday – November 27. And for Downtown Kalamazoo, Small Business Saturday doesn’t end on November 27 – every Saturday in December will be “Small Business Saturday.” That means even more chances to snag the perfect holiday gift – all while supporting local.
Many of the businesses will host in-store promotions and specials. Plus, when shopping at a downtown retailer this Small Business Saturday, customers will receive a limited-edition reusable holiday retail shopping bag. While supplies last.

Downtown Kalamazoo holiday programming and business support initiatives would not be possible without the help of its overall holiday sponsor, Consumers Energy, and the support of the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation. Special thanks to all holiday sponsors, including the Radisson Plaza Hotel, Black Arts & Cultural Center, Meijer, ABM, Kalamazoo Valley Museum, Kalamazoo Valley Community College, and Discover Kalamazoo.
