Business Highlight

Earthly Delights at Amy Zane
Located at 132 S. Kalamazoo Mall

Hours: Monday – Saturday 10am – 6pm

Meet the owner! Amy Zane, a University of Michigan graduate, is the owner of Earhly Delights at Amy Zane. Her disparate experiences of living in San Francisco, New York City, and solo-traveling through Europe and Turkey, lent themselves to success in what would be her future passions in the art and retail worlds. A bad car accident and a lot of soul searching led Amy back to Kalamazoo, where she  opened her first retail location. After 5 years, life led elsewhere, and she began a simpler life with her husband, and had two wonderful daughters.

Amy returned in November 2012 with renewed passion to open another gallery in downtown Kalamazoo.  Six years ago,  Amy Zane: Store & Studio opened. Since that time, Amy purchased and combined the very established Earthly Delights into the space with the help of a floor space expansion.

What does Earthly Delights at Amy Zane sell? “It’s like an art fair every day, but with apparel and accessories added in. Every kind of art you can imagine, fine, funky, functional. From fine paintings and metal sculpture, to ceramics and glass art, to stickers and pins, handcrafted goods and an ever-expanding baby and kids section, clothes, books and toys,” explains Amy.

What is unique? Amy believes that everyone who cares about supporting local, no matter their budget, should get to have pretty things, and/or things that excite their soul. Whether that is in the realm of art, or of fashion, they work hard to have something for almost everyone (and with a layaway option).  Amy brings in unique, less expensive clothing brands for a younger generation to round out the apparel that Earthly Delights previously offered.
